A game of Soccer is played on a rectangular field (grass or artificial turf ) with two rectangular netted goals at each end.
Two 11-player teams try to get a ball into the opposing goal. In senior games players have two 45-minute periods to do this. Officially no direct physical contact with other players is allowed.
Each team has one goalie.The goalie's job is protect their goal by hitting, throwing and kicking the ball away from the goal net. Goalies are the only ones who are allowed pick up and touch the ball with their hands. Players must use their feet or other parts of their bodies such as their head, knees, chests or torsos to contact the ball.
